Lol, getting nostalgic while putting the final touches on my presentation at DL @ MBL. I hadn't really registered that my star detector for finding microbial colonies (back before Al Sanchez moved his lab from Yale to Madrid) was out a couple of years before stardist:

Mine is a much more simple and a pure /#Fiji implementation, and now stardist is certainly a powerhouse. I do feel validated that the idea was clearly a good one :)
